 A Worthwhile Effort with Some Problems...

BASIC PLOT: 

Susan Walsh, went missing from New York City on July 16, 1996. She had been working as an exotic dancer, and investigative journalist at the time of her disappearance. Susan had written several articles for the 'Village Voice,' many were revealing exposés.

She also had men in her life that may have been connected to her disappearance.

WHAT WORKS: *This show gives the viewer many interesting theories on what happened to Susan Walsh. It is an engaging, albeit depressing, documentary.

WHAT DOESN'T WORK: *This show glosses over many of the distasteful possibilities at the expense of the truth. If you pause it, you can read the missing persons report, filled out by Mark Walsh, Susan's ex-husband. In it, he tells police Susan had a suicide attempt three weeks before her disappearance. He also tells police, he believed Susan had gotten into prostitution. The show never mentions these facts, and they are important clues in finding out the truth of what happen to Susan Walsh.

TO RECOMMEND, OR NOT TO RECOMMEND, THAT IS THE QUESTION: *I would recommend this show for true crime fans, unsolved mystery fans, or armchair detectives. It's a worthwhile effort to bring forth the terrifying fact that 1800 people disappear everyday.
