I tried desperately to watch this. I wanted to like this. But the hillbilly stereotypes were just too stupid and unbelievable for me to continue watching. I HATE hillbilly torture porn, and that's what we have here.

WHAT WORKS:

*THE GOOD BROTHER IS EYE CANDY Lee Montgomery is gorgeous! I've had a crush on him since I was 12, and saw him strut his stuff in "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" in 1984.

*I'M ALSO A HUGE WINGS HAUSER FAN, I love low budget movies in general, and his in particular. His action melodramas are hilarious fun, but I just couldn't get past the hillbillies in this one.

*THE ACTING IS WHAT YOU'D EXPECT from a low budget horror movie. Not bad, not great, but watchable.

WHAT DOESN'T WORK:

*STUPID HILLBILLY TORTURE PORN From the jump, one stupid southern stereotype after another prevented me from investing in the story. I loved/lived the '80's, but this is too much, even for back then. I'm from that the South, & we're not all a bunch of stupid, ignorant rednecks (although lately, living in Texas has been hard).

TO RECOMMEND OR NOT TO RECOMMEND, THAT IS THE QUESTION:

SO, I'D GIVE THIS ONE A PASS, unless you enjoy the hillbilly horror genre. There are so many other great '80's B movies, I'd just move on.
