I loved this book, and the tv show (Homicide: Life on the Streets) that was optioned from it. I fought to keep it on the air (wrote petitions to the NBC network) at the time, because I thought it was an important piece of television, based on a great book. 

I highly recommend this book to lovers of true crime, police procedurals, or the TV show,  Homicide: Life on the Streets. It will give you new insights into the characters and early episodes.
